Last week I shared that we would be hosting a couple of our friends from college over the weekend and I'm excited to share what we did!

The Mr. grilled out for us and made us an incredible dinner with chicken, sausage, brussel sprouts, and potatoes! We then freshened up a bit and headed to the plaza and had drinks at Coal Vines. I had a yummy moscow mule-sque mocktail that was really good. Personally I wanted to go to Manifesto, but they were booked up! But, the live music was great at Coal Vines and we had a really awesome server too. Then we headed to Union Station and Liberty Memorial to check out the view of the city! It's one of my favorite things about Kansas City!

We slept in and had a yummy breakfast at home of cinnamon rolls, bacon, and eggs. We got it together and headed to the Nelson-Atkins museum and stopped at the Fortuity mural first! It's such a beautiful place that I always enjoy and wish we made time to enjoy more. So, it was really great to enjoy it with friends that hadn't been before. I'm always blown away by the architecture and how the historically progression is so natural. We had lunch at Oklahoma Joe's (sorry, I just can't call it Joe's Kansas City) and we all had a Z-Man! If you haven't been, you gotta do it! We laid low for a bit and then headed to KC Bier Co. - the Mr. loves this German Style brewery, and I actually did too before I found out I was pregnant ;) We finished the day with the Royals game for Thunder night! It was insanely HOT! But we found some programs and frozen lemonade to make it at least bearable! We walked around to get some air flow and check out the stadium, that they loved! We braved the whole game and basically passed out as soon as we got back to the house. Of course!

For brunch on Sunday morning we headed to Urban Table, a little on the early side as they were booked up on Open Table. It was insanely delicious! We started with the grilled donuts to start! They were scrumptious! Kev had The Cow or The Chicken, I had the Quiche, our friends had the Oatmeal pancakes with bananas and the Chilaquiles. And I have to say, we all truly enjoyed everything!!

Then our friends headed back to to OKC and went home to chill and get and ready for the week. The next time they get up here we will definitely need to make some time to shop! Now, what are your favorite things to do in KC?
