The Nursery Plans

We found out about two weeks ago that we are having a baby BOY! I was so excited and a little bit relieved because when I was starting to collect nursery ideas, I only like the boy ones I found. Which is a little hysterical since I am SO girly like ALL of the time. But I would have been super excited to have a girl too. I mean have you scene the clothes!? They're absolutely adorable!

Now onto the nursery plans! We have 4 bedrooms, 1 being the master, 1 office (the Sophisticaited HQ), and 2 guest rooms. We chose to smaller of the guest rooms for baby Fore's nursery. It's straight down the hall from our room and I feel really good about the room choice for him.

When it came to a theme I knew I didn't want to do anything to cliche like sports or animals. So just like any other room in the house I love to collect any and all ideas I have, throw them all together and then edit out what doesn't work. So with that the nursery developed into a moroccan and travel theme.

For the the staples in the room I knew I wanted to keep them neutral and wanted to ensure they would be a good options for baby #2 (ya know, incase we do have a girl). So we picked out the gray wall paint from Sherwin Williams first, then hunted around for white furniture. We went with the Sundvik crib and Hemnes dresser from Ikea - the crib is actually on sale right now too! Oh and I'll need the mister transform the Ikea beauty into the champagne dresser of my dreams. Then came the magical glider the Bilana Best Chair I immediately fell in love with as soon as I sat in it. It has a super tall and comfortable (feels like a legit pillow) head rest that will be perfect for feeding the babe and just chilling. Plus, the color is ocean and is the amazing deep teal (that I feel would look so good with pale pink if we have a girl).

I've always loved moroccan poofs and feel like this is the best time to get one (right!?). I love the brown leather option to toughen of the space a little bit. Then came the rug from Urban Outfitters. Do you ever shop their rugs? I feel like they are a well keep secret for affordable rugs with good size and print print options.

Then the accessories! The clear shelves from Amazon literally made my heart SO happy when I finally found them. I had been on the hunt for a long shelf with a lip that wasn't like a million dollars. I have also always loved the white Ranarp lamp from Ikea and am stoked to create a reading area because of it. Also I just love printed pillows, and Target is straight killing it right now. I love this hamper from Land of Nod and side table from Target! All the art work is pretty random and I really want to find it while thirfting or print of photos from the Misters ski trips. So, I'll keep you posted on that hunt.

Now, what do y'all think!? What would you add to make this space really ready for baby?

xo,
