Town Center: Derby Style
It's that time of year where there are so many fun events and one of my favorites is the Run for the Roses! It's an amazing Kentucky Derby themed fundraiser that supports The Mission Project. The Mission Project is a local not-for-profit organization that enables adults with developmental disorders, such as Down Syndrome and autism, to live and work on their own with individualized support. (via) It's pretty incredible what they do and this night raises the funds they need to make it all happen. Plus, this event is really fun! I was lucky enough to attend last year and will get to attend again this year! And I've put together an easy breakdown of what to wear to this event.
LADIES: It's all about your hat or fascinator, but it should always coordinate with your dress. So, start with your dress. The dresses in today's post are both from Brooks Brothers at Town Center and are great for the event! The drop waist gingham dress looks great with the pops of color in the pumps and fascinator! And the pastel shift number is very appropriate and classy with the matching jacket, love it with the cream fascinator and brown suede sandals.
GENTLEMAN: For you guys it's all about the pants! How cool are John's sail boat printed pants!? We then picked a classic navy blazer and white button up shirt to go with his fedora hat. To bring in some pops of color we picked this stripe tie and coordinating pocket square to finish out the look.
Now have fun putting your look together and be sure to check out what Brooks Brothers at Town Center Plaza has to offer!
