Navigating this new "mom bod" can be tough especially when I want to still feel like my pre-baby self, but then not feel overly too sexy either. I know it might sound a little confusing, but here we go. I've never been one to dress in a "sexy" manner, and have always felt more comfortable dressing a little bit more sophisticated than most girls my age (hence the name of my blog). You could also blame it on my sorority in college that would troll all of our Facebook posts from the weekends and write PML (it stands for Phi Mu Lady, pretty great right!?) on an image that wasn't up to our standards. Seems intense, but I am thankful for this, as I am sure it saved us all a lot of embarrassment.

Anyways back to this gal navigating the balance of sexy but not too sexy to where she feels comfortable enough and confident while not feeling like she's "on display." This velvet tank I saw and fell in love with immediately, while I was on a formula run I'm sure. I ran straight to the fitting room with Bennett and all our goodies, sorry security team, and tried this on and was SO excited to fit into the medium! (YES)! I also really dig this color as I don't have anything like it and knew it would pair nicely with my neutral jackets (thinking army green, black, and tan) and jeans (maternity for now) and booties for a chic and comfortable look.

So, when Friday night rolled around I actually knew exactly what I wanted to wear and I loved it! The tank is super comfortable and paired with a long cardigan I was in sexy / comfortable outfit heaven! And who doesn't love that! Now, would you wear a velvet tank out for date night? If so, tell me what you'd wear it with!
