If you haven't heard me say it in awhile - I just love this city! I feel like there is always something amazing going on. And this Saturday's Deviation event at the Kansas City Art Institute certainly was one of those events. The event is a fundraiser for the KCAI student scholarship fund and the event happens every two years. The alumni and staff of KCAI donate their works of art for the silent and live auction. And I was incredibly impressed with the works spread around the gallery.
The event was held at the Kansas City Art Institute (gorgeous) campus and was a full of exciting circus performers (like crazy costumes and performers) around every turn. Port Fonda catered the event (delish) and Dolce Bakery brought the dessert game hard. Like the whoopie cakes were insane, and I'm definitely craving them this morning for sure! Oh and the cocktails were perfectly refreshing for how hot it actually was when we first arrived. PS - how grand is it that summer finally showed up!
I love getting to experience this city and spread the love - especially for such a huge event for a KC staple! Feel free to donate to KCAI anytime too!
