Livin' the dream

Before it got pretty chilly out in KC the hubs and were able to enjoy one of the last beautiful fall days. We walked around our neighborhood and just enjoyed the day. I love this little creek by our house. There's tons of great trails that my husband likes to bike. While I on the other hand would much rather take a walk with our German Shephard, Daisy. I love getting the explore this fun city and grow my business here too.

As you may have scene on Instagram at the beginning of November I decided to go to work for myself, full time. It was a super intimidating moment but with my Husband support along with my friends and family, I know I can be successful. First, I am able to focus on my passion of wardrobe styling. I have been fortunate enough to work with Silpada Designs as their wardrobe stylist for a couple of shoots, and love getting to create looks that support their vision. Secondly, I get to focus on personal shopping. A closet consultation is the best way for me to know what my clients needs are. I am able to dive in head first, see what they have, understand their style, make recommendations on pieces they need to complete their wardrobe, and create looks from pieces they already own. It's so fun! And thirdly, I get to focus on this pretty thing - my blog! I want to make sure I bring you great info everyday (well, every Monday - Friday) that is.

A fun little story from this weekend: I was able to complete a wardrobe consult for an attorney while I was back in OK. I went through her (amazing) wardrobe piece by piece. We talked about how she currently wears her pieces and I showed her new ways to pair things (she already owns) together, to create new outfits! She was in shock and so excited of the new looks I showed her. She can't wait to wear them tell people about the experience. And for me the best part for me is how excited she is about shopping her closet.

I live in the KC and travel to OKC pretty frequently to see family and friends. I love getting to make people feel good about their wardrobes and making it work for them. Please let me know if I can help you in any way (even if you don't live close to KS or OK). We can meet up for coffee, walk through your closet, talk about trends you want to try (or don't), and come up with a game plan of how to create your perfect wardrobe (on a budget too). If this sounds great to you, please feel free to email me at caitlin@sophisticaited.com and we can get it all worked out.

Happy Monday!
